Yes. He had entered an exit-program, but still 'watched his back'
with a good reason, it turned out sad
I just ordered his book.

Yes, pcwr, we stop at nothing! biggrin
Just finished the ris à l'amande (rice pudding - porridge cooked yesterday - worked as a hot meal, cooled at my balcony, mixed with whipped cream and chopped almonds eaten with homemade warm cherry sauce tonight)
- - and, no, Danes cannot wait - it's Christmas on Christmas eve
The song says - Christmas lasts until Easter blushing

Re: The Daily Danish

Yes, it has been a very scary accident, pcwr sad
A passenger communter train was hit by something carried by a freight train and braked hard.
The side of one wagon was ripped open.
The freight train carried recycled beer bottles and crates .
So far examinations have not revealed any one cause.
A container on the freight train, perhaps, which might have been damaged by high winds?
A trailer that fell off/blew off the freight train, maybe?
Divers are searching after wreckage in The Great Belt.
All train traffic across the bridge has been halted until 0900 UTC tomorrow.

Sometimes I wish we had kept our ferries as a back-up.
The bridge makes us vulnerable to accidents and not seldom high winds prohibit traffic with certain vehicles
- sometimes it has to be closed downright for hours.

Re: The Daily Danish

Well, BladeD, nothing has been concluded yet
.... but there is still an unusual confusion about what may have been the cause.
On the other hand what you're thinking of has not been worded yet.
Overnight they found two more bodies. Out of eight, only four have been identified so far.
The good news is that 14 of 16 wounded have been discharged from the University Hospital at Odense.
Added:
First train is crossing the bridge west > east.
East > west is scheduled to open 1500 UTC.
Three boats with divers and equipment are searching the water
The investigation commission expects the cause to take perhaps one year to determine.
They interview the people riding the train - the some 150 who survived.
I for one give it quite some thought.
It was windy all right
- and we had flooding in coastal areas - the canal near me yesterday afternoon when I visited,
but not THAT windy.
Added:
In the sea off the Netherlands, the wind force was far higher.
MCS Zoe, one of the world's biggest container ships
- MCS is a partner of Danish shipping giant Maersk
lost 270 containers that is coming ashore on Dutch islands
where they are opened by curious Dutchmen tongue a news headline says.
