I can disclose the golfing course is located in the town of Halfweg, a very beautiful name, for a town with a golf club. Half gone can certainly be appropriate when golfing, I think.

Then I shall dare a guess:
Amsterdamse Golf Club rather close to Haarlem where I spent too little time in April B&Bing on a houseboat on the Spaarne so close to the middle of that - I would almost say: fairy tale city. You see, these things is why I like it so much when the crunchers put a bit of geography to their names You get a better picture in your mind - maybe it doesn't apply to everybody, but it certainly does to me. And it functions as an ezelsbruggetje, too Yes, them golf balls tend to go Halfaway - or even completely away, don't they? |

It's probably called 'Golfclub Houterak', which is, according to google, the only golfclub in Halfweg.

Way to go TKizzle
It's not unusual for captains having to talk to themselves, but out there ears will listen ... May I ask in which way you have the qualitfications to become a captain? Navy? Merchant marine? |

Happy New Year TKizzle and Team Easynews
In the ^^^ above post I try to comfort you by saying: It's not unusual for captains having to talk to themselves, but out there and because you said early on ears will listen ... The previous Team captain was inactive, so WCG offered the job to me. The pay was right, and I have the qualifications :-) the 'I have the qualifications :-)' part said in an admirable selfconfident way I like that approach. It’s one that females of my generation never really learned on the job market To follow up on your statement, to offer you a dialogue, and to satisfy my curiousity, I wanted to know: May I ask in which way you have the qualitfications to become a captain? So if you answer, I might have another question, and all of a sudden we have a conversation which can go on until the cows come home or Navy? Merchant marine? - until your members want to break in with input of their own, which would be a good thing. At least it saves you from talking to yourself in public Some find that embarrassing.I for one don’t. Maybe I should see someone about it? |

In the 'Where Are You From?' thread I wrote this about/to you:
TKizzle, you're from USA and you further specify: Virginia. Your Forum Profile is perfect! Everything I would expect from the new captain of Team Easynews. Don't give up on your team thread, captain. I'll gladly chat with you - and the post above this one I intended to form a basis for some 'paddling' I think they call it in the media if they have to fill in unexpected pauses I could even become a temporary member ![]() so ... - don't you want to talk with me until your members come forward? - are you shy? - is something the matter? - should I try to mind my own business for once, captain? ![]() |

----------------------------------------- are you shy? - is something the matter? - should I try to mind my own business for once, captain? - I'm not confident the team will share/chat here. But I had to try. - No I'm not shy - Nothing is the matter. - From the look of things around here, it's not likely you will "mind your own business for once". ![]() |
