The current screen savers for all projects will not run properly on the latest version of OS X, High Sierra. There is a fix in the BOINC api to address the issue. We will be rolling out updates to the OS X builds for all projects with this fix. The SCC1 OS X binaries have just been updated and the current version with this fix is 7.14. If anyone on OS X has issues with the screen saver when running version 7.14 please post to this thread.

Thank on behalf of the macOS users for the quick action against https://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewthread_thread,40340 , noting an BOINC client upgrade to 7.8.3/.4 is also required for it all to work

I am not using screesaver too and keep on OSX El Capitan 10.11.6
----------------------------------------so dont need to upgrade to 7.8.4 waiting major upgrade , thks techs for explaining cheers  |

The explanation by the developer, Charlie Fenton, was, that the new API provides for backward compatibility, as in the science graphics is supposed to also work on pre-Sierra MacOS'

I still get an error telling me that screensaver is not compatible with this version of OS. (Mac OS 10.13.1).
