More FightAIDS@Home Vina work

Greetings,

When examining the results for FightAIDS@Home Vina, we discovered that about 10,000 work units were not run on World Community Grid. We are scheduling these to run soon.

Thanks,
-Uplinger

Great, this will give a good opportunity to re-benchmark to quality/performance of the grid against a distinct number of base zero-redundant work.

So far, the 10,000 have generated 13,165 results... so much for zero-redundant efficiency on the grid.

400 were returned to WCG today so there are still some stragglers coming in slowly. I've got a few waiting for validation as well. I wouldn't worry about it.

Re: More FightAIDS@Home Vina work

The bounded benchmark turns out to reveal the grid's efficiency on zero redundant projects to be worse than I've ever anticipated...14,653 returned results for 10,000 ZR tasks, meaning if a project tells us N batcches, it'd be N + at least 46.5% verification requirement... and still counting.

It would be interesting to know just what is the most significant factor(s) which cause this effect. Maybe the techs will will do a little preliminary analysis and let us know. On a sample size this small it should be quick and simple. I suppose there is also the possibility there were more than 10,000 units in this batch.
Cheers
