Aahh, see, I was on to something. You make it both a good read and fun to read  Yes, I will keep you in mind if I'm alone. If I could whip up a trek - but the going is slow it should be with some other team I think to keep some suspense. When is your Kraland III Challenge? |

Yes, it could be a puzzle.
I believe The Christmas Challenge is a big thing, and teams can only do one at a time - or what? What should prevent them from running a lot at a time?  You are the expert here - I never studied Challenge Can you sign up for all you want even if they overlap? |

As captain, I can register the team for any challenge I want.
----------------------------------------And I can create several challenges. (just a look here and you can see how many the team "中国队" create little challenges for 2 days (LLBXS+number)) |

My two cents (which is not a criticism) : a challenge based on the number of results returned is not very speaking, IMO, given the great disparity in the processing time of WU's between each of the sub-projects of the WCG project.

Kraland - Challenge II
---------------------------------------- Day 2 Our top trio continues its breakaway, with more than 11,000 WU for the 3rd. It seems difficult to catch up with these 3 who have already taken a good lead. But the Crunchers Sans Frontières continue their pursuit in 4th position. They are still pursued by the group of 4, where the Seriouscrunchers go back little by little on the Brasil team, will they manage to overcome them? Our Phoenix has managed to double the Chicago team and is now in 9th position. The big of the pack, led by the China Boinc team seems to fall behind. Will Kraland keep 9th place? Will SeriousCrunchers go 5th? Mystery!  Thomas, It's true that some WUs are faster to do than others, so the execution time also varies from one project to another (depending on the power of the computers), and the points awarded are a function of the time the CPU has spent processing. WU, it seems to me (I'm wrong maybe?). therefore, the points and the execution time are less meaningful to me, whereas the WUs, we can see how many have been processed and returned. But the goal of the challenges is to have fun, in my opinion anyway. Because we do not just crunch during the challenges, but all the time. I tried a search for a page with all challenges - current and planned - listed with no luck
 Sorry to bother you, Saphir12, but again in my opinion you are the challenge expert. Would you know if there is such a page here on WCG? |
