Don't know. In the 'project' tab of the BOINC Manager select WCG and confirm the 3rd button at left says "No new tasks". On the website device profile also make sure "Allow research to run on my CPU?: Yes"

Yup, WCG's device profiles are full of gremlins.
Not sure, but changing a profile from Custom to Standard/Minimum/Maximum/Powersaving could have restored settings to normal, at least it would be Spock logical for that to happen, but no, switching from custom to standard then saving does NOT, it only resets a few fields... Maybe the techs could implement a 'reset profile', something needed, since 'Default' can not be deleted and recreated to get them out-of-the-box settings back. Something for their USSR type of forward planning, 5 years. One would hope 5 years is enough to get through the ToDo list and then remove the useless CEP2 work unit selector as well, lest they have plans  |
