On my smartphone app I don't see a "No new tasks" option.
Now, my options are in Danish and they say: Projektkommandoer: (that will be "Project commands":) Besøg hjemmeside (that will be "Visit home page") Opdatér (that will be "Update") Suspendér (that will be "Suspend") Fjern (that will be "Remove") I can "suspend" everywhere, but that is not what I want. I want to stop it from biting off more than it can chew in a civilized manner when needed. Do you think it could be that a line has been lost in translation? - in which case I'm forced to behave brutally |

The only way to control work buffer on the Android app is to reduce the allowed storage space use, or set the Min.spare storage high, what BOINC is not allowed to use. Mine is set to Max used storage, 20%. With about 3GB free, that works out at 0.6 GB, which gives me 3 to 4 units, 2 running, the rest waiting. With 10 days deadline, and runtime of about 6-10 hours per result, it varies, the tablet is enough time on charger each day to finish all tasks before deadline (unreliable, so the device never gets repairs with 3.5 day deadline).

Thank you, SekeRob*
----------------------------------------That's a good solution to use those "handles" to circumvent, regulate, or work around it when there is no "No new tasks" option. Didn't think that creatively myself, so I enjoy being pointed in a new direction Normally, I would let it run on all and everything 24/7, but for a planned trip I need all the battery and GPS at all times to guide me around. Thank you once again EDIT A "No new tasks" would be practical, though. I'll put that on my wishing list for Christmas [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Sep 1, 2017 10:09:59 AM] |

On my smartphone app I don't see a "No new tasks" option. Please make sure you have "Show advanced preferences and controls..." turned ON from preferences. Then "No new tasks" option will be available. It is off by default. |

Then "No new tasks" option will be available. It is off by default. You must have a different version, no new tasks is under projects, click WCG then the 3 dots which bring up an ugly black text on dark blue menu. Selecting WCG below project should gives a more legible menu with more options including NNT. [Edit 1 times, last edit by SekeRob* at Sep 1, 2017 10:30:00 AM] |

Ah, the advanced under preferences also changes the project level menu. Pretty silly to not show NNT by default.
