Re: Microbiome Immunity Project Recognition Thread

Diamond (5 years) at last and — with MIP ending this month — right on time for the badge.

Though in the past year about 3 threads have been dedicated to MIP1, in the past month there were about 4½ threads 'needed' to reach this goal.
(24,000 CPU hours in the past year (=2,000/month) vs 3,000 CPU hours in the past month for MIP1.)

Ahh! I was so close to 5 years, I don't think I'm gonna make it! (4 years 10 days or so as of writing)

Re: Microbiome Immunity Project Recognition Thread

I just got back online after a hiatus due to moving, and the first thing I see is MIP shutting down! Congrats to everyone who has hit badge goals, and thanks fo everyone who has been crunching!

Re: Microbiome Immunity Project Recognition Thread

Hello mdxi,
it is of course your decision which project to chose now.

But, as friendly information:

If you have a graphic card, GPU capable of crunching, it could be a good idea to chose
COVId projcet.

If you will crunch using only CPU however, it seems to be more helpful for research at the end of the day, if you chose Mapping cancer markers.

The explanation can be found here: https://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg...d,43311_offset,585#660072

I whish succesful crunching. I will never chose to stop crunching, but go on all the time.

Cancer and COVID have to be brought down
Best whishes and happy crunching.
Martin
