I can remember back when the cache settings were for a minimum amount to keep and then an additional amount if available. That got changed and now I'm trying to find/recall the difference between this:
----------------------------------------Workunit Cache Settings Connect to network about every 0 days Cache 2 extra days of work and this: Workunit Cache Settings Connect to network about every 2 days Cache 0 extra days of work Either way, you end up with the same amount of work cached. There has to be a difference though - not that I could find searching for. |

Sek, sorry I didn't get a chance to respond sooner. The answer that was here was a very good one and just what I was looking for. Since I was looking for info on both of the settings, I had searched on "Workunit cache settings" and combinations of those words. I did not think to search on an individual setting though I would have though "Cache settings" would have found it anyway. Since so much of this kind of info here in the forums is your work (and very good work too), it's no surprise that you can find it so quickly. You clearly know BOINC far better than most of us. Also, being an old fart like me doesn't help.
