So much for thinking my points would drop. They did at first but today makes no sense:
----------------------------------------11/09/2017 0:044:04:58:11 304,444 369 11/08/2017 0:041:03:06:31 186,887 573 For just three more days of runtime with about 200 fewer results, I got 114K more points! Not a breakout either. PVer for both days is 0 and PVal went from 8 to 6 wus. Just 10 betas for FAH2 and only a couple got more than 350 points. Got almost the exact same number of MIPs going valid on both days. Rest of my results would be FAH2. That would mean that fewer FAH2 with no drop in runtime gives more points - ie. one 3 hour WU will get more points than three 1 hour WUs. MIP and FAH2 are normally quorum 1 too so I couldn't have gotten a big boost from wingmen with way higher claimed than me. Go figure. |

I used to keep up with that sort of thing but now I just let it float along and change projects from time to time just to stack up diamond badges in projects that seem to make sense to me. I know they are all likely worthy but I suppose I am just a little prejudice to some over others...e.g. childhood cancer.

I know they are all likely worthy but I suppose I am just a little prejudice to some over others...e.g. childhood cancer. Yea, I understand. Guess I've been doing this so long I got too used to the predictability WCG had for a long time. I'm starting to think there's some sort of "fixed" points given for crunching a WU (keeping in mind a WU we get can have multiple wu inside it) and "variable" points based on run time (in simple terms). Not sure if it was OET or FAAH that would have stretches of super short WUs that would mean a big points boost not so long ago. It's just weird seeing such a huge jump in points for the same amount of time with no breakout/wingman outliers/or such. |

Interesting. I agree that it seems to have lost the consistency that it once had. Perhaps they are paying less attention to it. As an example, it seems that everyone, on our team at least, got a big jump in point production yesterday. I assume that, like me, you and the others made no significant changes. I check in occasionally so see how I am progressing to my billion point goal. Oh well. It is the cure that is most important.

As an example, it seems that everyone, on our team at least, got a big jump in point production yesterday. I assume that, like me, you and the others made no significant changes. I check in occasionally so see how I am progressing to my billion point goal. Oh well. It is the cure that is most important. Yea, it's like when you go put something away in the cabinet above the dishwasher and end up with the toe of your sock wet. Did someone spill something or is the dishwasher starting to leak? Whatever the case, as you said, it's the cures that matter. We're doing great there. There's been a lot of progress over the past 13 years. Doing well here on my goals - MIP is past 3.5 years (going for 10), made 9 years on FAH2 today (10 as well), need a tad over 5 more months on FAAH when that starts back up to make 10 there, and SCC is now past 12.5 years (decided to try for 20). Making other progress on other fronts as well so not that bad a year after all. |
