Ok, looks like there was a side affect from setting ALL the results that were due less than 36 hours from when I started everything up to 36 hours from that point. Basically the feeder is clogged...with needing reliable hosts. I'm going to help clear that for the time being. Thanks Keith for popping by and checking/resolving this "mini-drought". After all the extremely long and hard hours you and your colleagues have been putting in recently, I'm not surpirsed that small things may have been overlooked. Thanks, -Uplinger Just goes to show as to how unforgiving some people can be ![]() ![]() |

Greetings,
Work should be accessible now for all. Details of the problem. When I set all MANY of the results to have a deadline of 36 hours after things went live, there are lots of results on World Community Grid that end up being "No Reply" for many reasons. Since I basically set 5 days worth of work to have the exact same deadline, when that deadline hits and the transitioner picks that up, it sends the subsequent result file out as High Priority and sets it to need a reliable host. Reliable hosts on WCG have strict criteria, so only a fraction of the devices on World Community Grid were getting new work. Also, reliable host is set based on your computer against a given application version id. Thanks, -Uplinger |

Ah - that explains so many resends - one of my modest machines has 20
---------------------------------------- However, a quick calculation shows they should all be completed before the short deadline...

PPL, I see some work going out still. Let me check a few things to make sure nothing else strange is happening.
Thanks, -Uplinger |

PPL,
Are you still not getting any work? I see that FAHV is under high demand at the moment. HST1 and SCC1 are out of work. But the other projects even FightAIDS@Home -Phase 2 has work available right now. FAHV is probably on high demand still after getting the results flowing due to the reliable host issue. But I believe that demand will level out here soon. Thanks, -Uplinger |
