Greetings all,

I can provide some good news here. We have gotten the storage cluster up, we are working to validate the data on it first. But then we will be turning on some of the backend processes. This could still be 2 hours from now, but we are looking good right now.

Also, I have extended all results to have a deadline of atleast 36 hours from now.

Thanks,
-Uplinger

erich56, the update above is the closest we have right now to an ETA. There will be another update in this thread as soon as the tech team has more information.

Thanks again to everyone for your patience.

Re: Unplanned website outage 2017-06-25.

for those of you having run out of work units, there is a very simple solution to prevent this in the future

in the Boinc Manager, under Options/Computing Preferences, there's a box titled Other where you can increase the number of days worth of work units you can have downloaded in advance. mine is currently set to 3 with an additional 3, but you'll want to set your own numbers based upon your circumstances. I've still got dozens of work units being happily crunched...

Re: Unplanned website outage 2017-06-25.

Greetings everyone,

The storage system is working through a disk check right now. This is delaying my 2 hour estimate given before. When this check is done, I will then do some more minor checks before starting the file upload handlers. This is currently looking that it could take another few hours is my best guess. I would like to give you an exact timing but can not. After upload handlers are started, then I will enable the scheduler/feeder. This will allow members to upload and download new work. Once completed with that, I will enable the transitioner and validators. At that point, all services that are customer facing should be working.

Thanks,
-Uplinger
