Just download the WorldCommunityGridAgent program from the "download now" under the section "How can you help" in the WCG Home Page and run it. Normally you don't have to set anything.

Re: Any1 tell me?

gridUP,

Firstly welcome to WCG and the forums. You have joined a band of people who are willing to sacrifice some spare CPU cycles to try to help out mankind.

The steps that you need to undertake to help out is as follows:

1) Download the WVG agent from here

2) Double click on the WorldCommunityGridAgenet.exe file downloaded in step 1. This will as you to fill in a registration form. This will then download the code (about 4Mb the first time and about 800Kb to 1Mb thereafter).

3) You should now see the World Community Grid logo in your task bar showing that the program is working. If you have any problems, you should have a look at the install page.

4) You should then go and update your profile here.

5) You can then elect to join a team. There are a number of recruiting threads that can be found here . The decision to join a team is up to you - if you do, you will be a member of a smaller community within a larger world community.

This will get you working. If you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to ask or have a look at the FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions) about the project from this page.
