AMD Naples preview/teaser

Zen server architecture coming 2Q 2017 includes system on a chip design (integration of chipset onto CPU), 8 channel RAM, 128 threads in 2p configuration and 128 lanes of I/O! Sounds exciting less the price tag I'm sure.

Re: AMD Naples preview/teaser

So looking at RYZEN pricing and past AMD server pricing,
any guesses?

Re: AMD Naples preview/teaser

Since the top end intel 22 core has a $4115 MSRP, it's safe to say top end naples will cost an arm and a leg.

When AMD was competitive with intel on the server front, there wasn't a large price difference between the two companies. If the 32 core naples can compete, you can bet it won't be much cheaper then intel's offerings.
