Messenger Integration

it would be nice to be able to communicate directly with members of one's team. perhaps a messenger integration would be nice.

Re: Messenger Integration

Yep,

these forums need a lot of improvements. For example:

  • Messenger/Private Messages
  • (Custom) Avatars
  • Social Forum(s) like a "Member's Lounge"

While a messenger may be nice, I think a forum for each team would allow a little interaction on the teams, without having to wonder who is online when.

smile Re: Messenger Integration

I prefer private messages instead of a messenger. If the communication is concentrated on the message board it is better for a community.

HERE HERE !!! And if you make a mistake and try to go back and delete your post, you can't. They are considering a rule change in that area. I tried last night when I posted the same message twice. Asked for my password and then said I was entering the wrong PW.

Re: Messenger Integration

you dont need messenger integration inside grid. having that would really slow the servers and be wasting time. if you are on any major DC team they will have personal website with boards anyway. also there are many message services such as MSN, yahoo, icq, normal e-mail and others including mIRC etc.

the only thing needed as in another post would be having the rest of the team or just the captain see your e-mail address, so individuals could be contacted. on our team i know of only 8 people out of the total 40 or so who are members.

yeah, you guys capture the idea... I didnt really mean integrating messenger perse, but rather being able to interact with the other members of your team...
