Don't know how to tell the client to use https from the get-go. Remove > Add WCG from client (?), but think the master projects table needs updating on host(s)
----------------------------------------Edit: Such is printed in the event log of the host.... URL http://www..... [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Feb 16, 2017 1:29:40 PM] |

For lack of response, no surprise, detached the client on the tablet and found the only way to get https was to add project by url, else from the picklist it just keeps coming back with http, and event logging only http entries. After adding with https, the log entries confirm communication is by htttps.

So much for manually entering the https URL, thought of switching on HTTP and work_fetch debug, e voilĂ

Sek,
Even if you attach via the project selection menu in the Android client the very first connection is over http but all further communication is over https. Thanks, armstrdj |

Strikes me as a woosh on my part... asking to connect via https and then being thrown back.
Why grid.worldcommunitygrid.org is still being called on, per the log [thought all was like secure, grid etc were phased out and replaced by www.worldcommunitygrid.org |

We use different subdomains to route different requests to different parts of our infrastructure. For example, uploads and downloads go to one set of servers while scheduler requests go to another and the website traffic is handled another way. We also use object storage at SoftLayer/BlueMix for some of the slideshow and application version files and for those the download occurs via swift.worldcommunitygrid.org.
