Re: Smash Childhood Cancer Badge Thread

I will run SCC for a few more days, until I get my 90-days badge. After that, I'll drop SCC from my running projects. It's way too inefficient to run SCC (VINA) on a Windows computer.

If you have anything running Linux, VINA is very efficient on that. I agree it does not do very well on Windows.
Cheers
No Linux computer here, and no plans to get any either. So, I'll leave SCC to the Linux people, and to the Windows people who like Self-flagellation smile

Re: Smash Childhood Cancer Badge Thread

Anybody else seeing a paucity of SCC work units ? I am dry on one system and getting there on others.
Cheers
Seems to be something more going on now. Even singletons (Minimum Quorum: 1", from SCC and OPN1, goes into "Pending Validation", and stays there, without getting a visit by the validators.

Those with higher Quorum demand, isn't validated either when all wingmen have finished their tasks.

Re: Smash Childhood Cancer Badge Thread

I am dry on a Windows (8 threads) system which should be getting both MCM and SCC. I have it set for 15 MCM and 1 SCC. One of my Linux systems set just for SCC with 32 threads has only 13 in progress. A 24 thread system is down to 16 work units. There is something going on. Is anyone manning the feeders or is this just affecting me ?
Cheers

None of my hosts has been running dry, though it seems the resupply of SCC is slow, OPNG only sporadic and ARP and HST as Unobtanium as usual.

Unfortunately, as it is commonly the case, WCG isn't talking about what's going, probably too busy to play moderation games... sad

Re: Smash Childhood Cancer Badge Thread

Look at my pretty 14 day SCC badge !

edit to add : I'm getting scc tasks at the moment, but can see that something is broken in the process of moving WUs from pending validation to valid when the required WUs have been returned.

Re: Smash Childhood Cancer Badge Thread

I started to get SCC tasks again, but not enough to fill the queues again. At least it is something. Nothing has been validated since May 1. Still no MCM tasks.

Update: I am starting to see some validations now 15:00 UTC
Cheers

Re: Smash Childhood Cancer Badge Thread

Almost at 90 days now. 88 days: 21 hours: 08 minutes: 47 seconds. When I get the 90 day badge, I will stop running SCC. It's not worth running that project on Windows.

With the supply of these as scarce as grass on a playground that may take a while.
