As of December 27, afternoon UTC more website changes causing connect fails.

From the log see that https://secure. encounters access denied i.e. the API extract now fail too, redirects to https://www. no longer work. This morning the web browser refuses to return the readyState i.e. disconnects occur, so it is not possible to do an automated extract of the statistics history, device stats and device profiles pages, serving "The object invoked has disconnected from it's client" (Runtime error -214717848 (80010108)

Re: As of December 27, afternoon UTC more website changes causing connect fails.

I was able to successfully run my query this morning: "(https:)//www.worldcommunitygrid.org/api/members/sgt.joe/results?code=********************************&xml=true&limit=250&ServerState=5& ValidateState=1". (Without the parentheses around the https.) Hopefully they stabilize the changes soon so the query format can be predictable.
Cheers

Re: As of December 27, afternoon UTC more website changes causing connect fails.

Per the other thread, .secure. would redirect to www., so changing that piece was easy. Removed WCG from trusted sites but that made no difference, The signin automation keeps failing on..j_username /.j_password elements. even when stepping manually thru the script, do while waiting for ready state crashes out.

I have a much simpler setup than you. I have no experience with how you are signing in, so I am afraid I can offer no advice of value here. I hope they resolve these issues soon.
Cheers

Re: As of December 27, afternoon UTC more website changes causing connect fails.

Asking for the same access as how it can be done with My Contribution using the verification code or authorization code was done a number of times over the years, to no avail. Using the automated sign-in is the only way to get at such pages as the device statistics, device profiles and statistics history... whatever bit changed, it's not working with www.

Rob,

I have alerted Kevin of the issues you are having. Thank you, in advance, for your patience with response time.

Re: As of December 27, afternoon UTC more website changes causing connect fails.

Sekerob,

Sorry for the delay over the holidays. I've tried to recreate your login issues using a bash script. Here is the code for the test I ran:

------------- start script -------------
#!/bin/bash

if [ "$#" -ne 3 ]; then
echo "Usage: apiRequest.sh username password verificationcode"
fi

USERNAME=$1
PASSWORD=$2
VERIFICATION=$3

rm -f cookies.txt
rm -f st-data

#OPTIONS=-d -S
OPTIONS=--delete-after

wget $OPTIONS --save-cookies cookies.txt --keep-session-cookies --post-data "j_username=$USERNAME&j_password=$PASSWORD" https://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/j_security_check

wget -O- --load-cookies cookies.txt "https://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/api/member...?code=$VERIFICATION"
-------------end script -------------

I had no issues with the requests and got json data back for my user account. I'm not sure what issue you are running into.

Note that you do not have to log into the website to use this API. The following script pulls back the results json data just fine as well:

------------- start script -------------
#!/bin/bash

if [ "$#" -ne 2 ]; then
echo "Usage: apiRequest.sh username verificationcode"
fi

USERNAME=$1
VERIFICATION=$2

wget -O- "https://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/api/member...?code=$VERIFICATION"
------------- end script -------------

Can you take a look let me know what I'm doing wrong to recreate your issue?
