As the titles says, Which version of android is required?
I've had a quick look but can't find it but I'm in a bit of a hurry so would anyone here be able to answer?

Thanks in advance! :)

Re: Which version of Android is required?

Thanks! Is there any performance difference between different versions? And is there a possibility of 4.1 become incompatible in the future?

Re: Which version of Android is required?

Problem: One of my old phones is running Android 4.1 but I can't find a Boinc version that'll run on it.

Any ideas?

Re: Which version of Android is required?

Did you try the NativeBOINC app instead of the official BOINC app?

Re: Which version of Android is required?

Review the release thread http://boinc.berkeley.edu/dev/forum_thread.php?id=10204 at Berkeley, and then fetch the appropriate .apk package from http://boinc.berkeley.edu/dl/?C=M;O=D . Probably you'll need 7.4.41 or something earlier.

NB: You may have to temporarily disable install security, as normally only packages from Google Playstore are allowed.
