We are starting a new beta to test the AsyncRE changes to the Bedam application as mentioned in this post: https://secure.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewthread_thread,39514

We will first be starting with 1100 work units that will each run 10,000 steps. This is quite a bit shorter than current workunits that run 100,000 steps. With AsyncRE we will be disabling trickle messaging and intermediate uploads. This will requ
ire all workunits to run to completion for credit. During production, we believe the step count will be higher than 10,000, but since this is beta, it is shorter and deadlines are only 2 days. We are hoping to churn through lots of results to retur
n back to the researchers. Since this is a major change to how the project operates, please be patient with us if things are turned off. For instance, I will not enable the validator/assimilator/AsyncRE until tomorrow morning. This will allow for
me to test each part of the process thoroughly.

Note, in my testing work units ran with an average of 1.8 hours. Fastest result was 0.97 hours and slowest result was 5.38 hours.
