Let's see, Zika has hit a dry spell, HST is having WU availability issues, no CEP and they spend a bunch of time trying to recruit more participants to make angry... maybe spend a little less time recruiting and more time fixing and maybe things would run smoother. Let's not forget the infamous "list".

No new OpenZIKA WUs on any of my hosts for the better part of the day so far...
----------------------------------------And I thought that HST WUs are the only ones right hard to come by these days... Ralf |

I am running Zika on an ancient Gateway laptop running Ubuntu 10.04 LTS and haven't had any problems with a lack of WUs.

Of course, shortly after I complained in above post, the first OpenZIKA WUs started to come in again.
----------------------------------------Amazing how that works... Ralf |

Greetings,
I meant to respond to this before the long weekend but forgot. When we run end of day and mid day stat runs, that causes the transitioner to be stopped for X minutes. During this time, we get a backlog of results that will need reliable hosts only. What then happens is when the transitioner comes back online, these results get pushed onto the feeder top priority. This causes things to appear like there is no work. From time to time, we get a majority of these to be for a specific OS which takes a little bit longer to clear. Most of the time this is within an hour, but that is not always the case. We have plenty of work in the queue for Zika, sorry about the confusion from the feeder as to why you aren't always able to get work. Thanks, -Uplinger |
