I've hade a problem with 2 WU's now - had to abort them because their times were very long, but their CPU time was short:

If you aborted, no.
----------------------------------------As for the elapsed time vs CPU time, either you make somewhat heavy use of your PC or there is something eating the CPU time. Suggest you check with task manager. ![]() - AMD Ryzen 5 1600AF 6C/12T 3.2 GHz - 85W - AMD Ryzen 5 2500U 4C/8T 2.0 GHz - 28W - AMD Ryzen 7 7730U 8C/16T 3.0 GHz |

I have now experienced a similar aspect of this problem with a total of three FA@H Phase 2 jobs. However, the problem I have experienced is relative to "Elapsed" versus "Remaining" times. While the "elapsed" time increases "normally" as a result of the job(s) being worked on, "remaining" time does not decrease. In fact, the indicated "remaining" time remains approximately the same or actually increases!
The three jobs this has occurred to would have exceeded their deadlines had I not aborted them. I suspect a problem exists with the data-set (or something) of some FA@H Phase 2 WU's. |

Search forum for APP_CONFIG.XML and <fraction_done_exact/> application level tag to force BOINC to compute a more accurate remaining time. Only works on running tasks!

@DynaManic: that has been happening to me today, too! One of my WUs estimated run times increased from 12 to nearly 15 hours!
@SekeRob*: Can APP_CONFIG.XML also be found in BOINC run on Mac OS X? If so, would you be so kind as to provide a step-by-step guide for how to force BOINC to compute a more accurate running time on OS X? Thank you very much! |
