Yes the simulations affected will be restarted at the last good input. That's great news. It's good to know that all the previous work on these simulations won't be in vain. Yes luckily the wcg and we could isolate the problem on both sides quite quickly and had planned a buffer and backup of previous steps for such issues at the start. It is under control now, however there can be still be some mal functioning WUs in the system. Thanks to all working on the issue [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Jul 23, 2016 7:46:24 AM] |

I imagine that at the planning meeting someone said "No, lets not throw out all those old WU's, we can put them up in the Attic in a cardboard box. You never know, they may come in handy again one day."

It is about checkpoint files linking WUs to each other (which consume much disk space) . Here we keep a couple of "generations" to be able to go a few steps back if necessary |

Here we keep a couple of "generations" to be able to go a few steps back if necessary I'm glad to hear that the old school of thought still prevails - generations/backup's and the ability to revert back to previous work still exists, something that I was beginning to lose faith in within the world of IT. I'm also extremely pleased to hear/see that the project is back on track, not only to hopefully find a cure for this disease, but on a personal level - as I was literally just hours short of my Gold badge when the pause came ![]() ![]() |

We will begin releasing new work again on Help Stop TB shortly. We have tracked down the issue to the latest update done to the Windows 64 bit build of the application. We are reverting back to the previous Windows 64 bit version, version 7.14. Thanks, armstrdj Why the final high priority repair _4 is run on the 7.16 32 bit is probably because the previous repair landed on a 32 bit machine, but the below evidences that 7.21 and 7.16 are not validation compatible, i.e. the 7.21 will likely get an invalid rating after my copy is done. The flow is back, I got three on my main machine. The first is a resend and has survived for its' first minute which mean it'll probably finish.
