Hi all. I have been up an running for 14 days and wanted to see how my crunching compares with other Newbees. I have a team (University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign) but these guys an gals have several years head start.
----------------------------------------Is there anyway that I gain access to the stats for other newbs? I don't have a clue how I stack up. Here are my current stats for 3 laptops (two of which have cracked screens. days points 88.1 283,152 Avg. Run Time Per Calendar Day (y:d:h:m:s) 0:004:17:48:01 Avg. Run Time Per Result (y:d:h:m:s) 0:000:05:30:03 Avg. Points Per Hour of Run Time 135.96 avg points per day 15472.12 Avg. Points Per Result 747.9 Avg. Results Per Calendar Day 20.69   |

I've been crunching almost a year now.
Comparing stats doesn't mean a lot as everyone has different equipment and settings. I run two android tablets 24/7. The desktop is usually run 8 hours per day and a laptop that isn't run very much at all. Here are my stats if you still want them: Avg. Run Time Per Calendar Day (y:d:h:m:s) 0:007:00:21:27 Avg. Run Time Per Result (y:d:h:m:s) 0:000:09:08:57 Avg. Points Per Hour of Run Time 33.25 Avg. Points Per Calendar Day 5,597.27 Avg. Points Per Result 304.18 Avg. Results Per Calendar Day 18.40 |

There are several 3rd party stats sites such as FreeDC and BOINCStats that keep detail stats for all your projects. Read there's one at least that allows comparing by join date but which, don't know.

branjo thanks. I thought baseball was full of stats. This distributed computing has got it beat by a long shot. Maybe you can help me in understanding something I found on the BOINC stats. What is BOINC world position based on RAC? I am at 7709 out of 507107 which sound good (is it?)

Let me chip in here.
----------------------------------------RAC = Recent Average Credit. So the number of points per day as an average over a given period. Some Stats sites calculate it over a different period to others but once you have been crunching for around a month you should see this figure settle. I am unclear about the second part however... Rank 7709 is understood but the "out of" part should I think be ACTIVE members. I cannot say I know this is so. Looking at BoincStats suggests that there are currently only <62,000 volunteers with an average credit figure against their name  |

OldChap thanks . I went to the BOINC stats page and what you said about active members explains my "ranking" using RAC. In looking at the RAC numbers it appears like there are volunteers with HUGE numbers and excited Newbs like me leap frogging people that have gone dark.
