I've got one Zika task which is not progressing for four days. On Tuesday at about 1 o'clock p.m. (UTC) stderr says task 2 is running but it hasn't finished yet after about 2.9 CPU hours (tasks 0 and 1 took 6.5 minutes). Meanwhile the overall runtime is moving towards thirteen hours. My computer isn't very efficient in terms of CPU hours per run time but usually not that bad. Should I abort this task or leave it since its deadline is one week ahead?

This happens time to time. At my observe when task is at the end and is suspended then resumed.
Sometime happens if they are interrupted somewhere in the middle. In my case even progress bar showing 100% its need some unproportional time to finish for example one or two hours. Gross time around 15 hours per task maximum for now. My device Cubot h2 Android ver. 3.10.65+ Lollipop 5.1 |

At that time of day the only interruption could result from an interference with other BOINC tasks. I have aborted this task now because it hasn't shown any progress during the last 24 hours and was preventing BOINC from downloading new WCG tasks. Maybe another user is able to finish it.

Please give your device characteristic. It is again forum policy rules but it will help someone else with your device. Like I did.
When I wrote time to time it is mine expiriance it can't be something other. For example from 95 to 99% is taken half hour but then from 100% to end i.e. upload i.e. ready to report two hours it is at least strange. But in your case it is stranger. 24 hours it is time for around three tasks. Be informative. Someone can confirm your findings. I am un petit volunteer like you. Good crunching. |

It is strange.
I collide with an femin admin for other reason. The last dot. "Please do not use World Community Grid forums for outside advertising, marketing, or solicitations of any kind". Hope some of the developers camp read your post before a pedantic admin. |

I have this problem too. Exiting and restarting the BOINC manager fixes it.
I've been putting it down to running on a very old computer, but if others have the same problem, maybe not. When it happens, the Windows Task Manager Processes window shows wcgrid_zika_7.0 running but in the Performance window there's no characteristic oscillating CPU usage. I suspect that what kicks off the problem is some other process going into 100% load for a long time. I've only seen it happen with Zika, but that's just about all I've been given to crunch lately. |

I just cleared two files on my system that were doing the same thing.
Three days or so wasted time... |

I've seen this too, including a few on very reliable machines that aren't so old. Stopping and starting BOINC fixes it, reboot or otherwise.
