Ugh! What a day. There's been a crew in the area trimming back the tree branches too close to the power lines. Mid-afternoon, poof. power goes out, 20 minutes later, back on, 20 minutes later, back off, an hour plus later, back on. Note that it takes a good 45 minutes just for the EMC to get one of those big honking service trucks down here, then they can actually start on the problem so methinks the crew trimming had a large limb hit the line, fixed it real quick, goofed again but had to call a crew in to fix it that time. If I see them, I'll be pulling over to have a nice little chat with them. Right after the power came back on to stay, we lose DSL. Eight hours later, they have that fixed. It was not minor and it showed both in their call volumes, wait time and battle fatigue of the staff once you got thru. So for now, good night. Hopefully, I'll be able to catch up on a few things that got pushed off until tomorrow.
