Re: New to crunching

Sgt. Joe....

Do you use ram disk with the USB stick?

No, just run it straight. Running mainly MCM1, but have run most of the others with no problem, except CEP2. The server has 4gb of RAM, which does not sound like much, but it still works.
Cheers

Re: New to crunching

Idk I used yummi to set it up. It created a Casper file for persistence. I went to test drive a Cat 277b (not Case and we bought it plus a backhoe) but never made it back to the farm so my rig is still running Win 10 with virtual box BOINC WCG client. I hope to make it back there tomorrow after I come back from riding. The distro was Ubuntu 15.xx 64. I may end up using it to install Ubuntu to a HD.
