Credit for Invalid?

Are you supposed to get credit for Invalids? It says I got 99/234 or something (granted/claimed) for an invalid WU. (Was a VM, so go figure.). Thanks.

Please don't hesitate to consult the Community Maintained FAQs and Help. The answer is in the former... https://secure.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewthread_thread,21501 section 1, item S3 Result Status Descriptions.

Re: Credit for Invalid?

From this page: http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewthread_thread,6105 (I'm linking the correct page so you don't have to browse for it)

It says "Invalid results are granted half-credit. Full CPU time and the result is also added to the My Contribution statistics ." :)

Re: Credit for Invalid?

Thanks, did not realize that scanning the linked CM index down to find 1-S-3 is so arduous ;?

Re: Credit for Invalid?

While we're here... There's another WU that took one guy (assuming I'm the resend) 3/4 of a day and my copy has ran for 1.5 days and is less than 50% done. Um...?

Re: Credit for Invalid?

Is your client really showing 30+ hours in the elapsed column for that WU?

Do you have the CPU throttled in the settings? If not, maybe he/she has a much faster CPU than you?
