Joining two different account

Hello everyone,

For unknown reason my old account can not receive new WU so I decided to made a new account and my new account work very well, but I just think if its possible to joining my old and new account together, the reason to joining its together are the point and sentimental reason crying

I think its pity if my old account just sitting in the list doing nothing,
Is this possible ?

Looks like you posted on the forum with your old, 2010 account, i.e. you have the needed account information. No you can't merge/join 2 accounts, but if you explain exactly the steps you took during attaching a client to this old account and 'known' things you did to remove the work fetch obstacle without succeeding, we might be able to resolve the issue with you... find the 'unknown' bits. That is, if you want to.

I log with my old account and then download the WCG thats it and the WCG never received any WU, Could you point me where I can find tutorial or perhaps you can tell me what I need to do to use my old account ?

OK, does not matter what client you have... hopefully a 7.6 release. You can detach WCG from the client you have [Project Tab of advanced view, select WCG, Remove button on left] and then attach again using you old [this] account and password info to resume crunching [Tools menu > Add Project > Select WCG from project list > Next > Select Existing member box and enter membername/password, then OK/Continue].

After, go to My Contribution > My Projects and select all projects EXCEPT Clean Energy and save. Then in the client, go to the project tab, select WCG line and hit the Update button on left to see if any work is fetched.

If nothing is received, hit Ctrl+Shft+E to open message log, copy the whole log and post, so we can see what's on.

Kindly post the whole log, from start to finish, where the result is uploaded and reported.

The piece you posted says the device is recorded as a new computer i.e. not recognized as having been attached to WCG under the old account once before.

What you may do as the next step is opening Tools > Computing Preferences and hit the Clear / Web Preferences button, so there's no conflict between your local and web settings.

If you go to the BOINC Manager Project tab, select WCG and then hit the properties button, there's line 'Scheduling priority'. If the value is negative it means that the client is waiting on the right conditions to fetch new work. (If there are any other projects attached to the client, suspend them all in the projects tab, which could swing the pendulum the right way).

If the client has been running irregularly, the <on_frac> <active_frac> values could be very low [They represent the current average uptime fraction of the day that BOINC may compute]. Sometime they stop work fetching.

Finally, when newly attaching a client to a project, 1 task is the standard to be received to find out if the machine works or fails. If the task succeeded [See Result Status page for outcome], you get more, else an automatic 'back-off to the next day' could get issued.

btw I have similar situation with 2 PC and 2 laptop,
the result status say my WU are in "PENDING VALIDATION"

A strategy some use to force the hand is set the Minimum Work buffer / Store at least nn days / Connect Every nn days in the local prefs [Options/Tools > Computing/Local Preferences > a bit higher... try 1.0 days and increase slowly if nothing moves, then hit update again and wait a bit.

(The interface design has changed a few time between versions, so it could be on a different preferences tab... messy to support)

Are you trying to force just GPU-crunching in your settings, or have you allowed the CPU to do work? There is currently no WCG-only project that supports GPU-crunching, which may explain the lack of work.
