Re: Doesn't seem to work in XP (x86) or on 2003 Server (x64)

There's a registry hack to still get post-support-end XP-SP3 updates [that otherwise only go to paying customers who want extended support]. Could fix the issue by supplying one or the other newer library, but think it is a slim chance.

I can confirm that Help Stop TB doesn't work on XP Professional SP3 (32-bit) running on a Core i5 (Haswell) system with aforementioned registry hack and all current updates installed. The test system in this case has 4GB RAM with 3.17GB accessible and no antivirus. So memory and antivirus are probably not the cause.
This error is logged with 7.6.22 client:
World Community Grid | [error] Process creation failed: (unknown error) - error code 193 (0xc1)
Can confirm that it also fails on a full install of Embedded POSReady 2009 with all current updates.

Now that I have tuned my systems to get HSTB, my single XP box gets a few now and then and errors out immediately. There is plenty of memory.

Cheers coffee
