Contribution statistics wrong?

Please, have a look to the link below which refers to a screenshot!

I used Excel to sum up all Project Points generated with the value shown in the contribution table above. For some reason I do not understand those values are diffrent (red line). Is this a bug or something else?

On the other hand, when I compare "Results compared" (green line) the values are the same.

Re: Contribution statistics wrong?

A quick eyeball suggests your sum of 615,943 points is incorrect. Please recheck.

edit: The 256 value is suspect... probably it has to be 0,256

Re: Contribution statistics wrong?

Nope. 256 is correct concerning the second Screenshot:

Screentshot 2

But you are right. It must be 0,256. When changend to this value the sum is correct. So what we have here ist a display bug regarding values lower than 1.

Re: Contribution statistics wrong?

When you look at the US website, thousand signs is comma, so 2 results is worth 256 points, but in your spreadsheet where the , is used as decimal sign, there is no comma i.e. your spreadsheet imported the value incorrectly as were it 256,000. Anyway, knock yourself out, or try my suggestion to prefix the number so it reads as 0,256, then see how it totals. wink

Re: Contribution statistics wrong?

I just edited my last post. And corrected the value to 0,256. As I mentioned before you are right. At least we have a display bug which causes this question ;-)

Re: Contribution statistics wrong?

Here's what I would do: select the lines from the My Contribution page (selecting all project names with all their columns (Project, Points Generated, Results Returned, Total Run Time, even Badges Earned)), copy all that (ctrl-C), then go to your spreadsheet, paste (ctrl-V), and everything should be in order: numbers with comma's should be converted to comma-less numbers (maybe you should tell your spreadsheet that you are importing English numbers). Hope this is of some help.
