Two problems.
I have tried some five times in a row to update the field "Career" in my forum profile (at https://secure.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/editmember), but I keep getting "The error message is: Error executing SQL in MemberDAOImplJDBC.update." I've also tried so edit the fields below "Career" ("Home page", "Yahoo ID", "AOL ID", "ICQ ID", "MSN ID"). All of them work, except "Home page": when I fill out some value for "Home page", then save, then edit it again and erase the field and save again, the value hasn't been erased. I've also tried to fill out "none" in the field "Home page", but ... "The error message is: The parameter "MemberHomepage" must begin with http:// or https:// or ftp:// ! Please try again." pops up. So now I'm stuck with a homepage in a field that I can't erase. |

Also ok here, using Firefox, Windows, https. I experimented with just simple alphabetical text. Perhaps make sure there are no complicated characters in your Career entry?

Tried filling out "Career" again, still to no avail:
"Error executing SQL in MemberDAOImplJDBC.update." Firefox, Linux. Text: "yes, and no" succeeds. Text: "programmer of dictionaries" succeeds. Text: "programmer of dictionaries, chief editor of refere" succeeds. (50 characters) Text: "programmer of dictionaries, chief editor of referen" fails. (51 chars) |

Would suggest to try a different web-browser (Tried a new-to-me yesterday called Blue-Moon 26.1.1, 32bit on W8.1-64... Mozilla code based... fast and clean).
----------------------------------------Also, clear out the cookie / webpage cache, exit the browser and run a diskclean to throw out any temp-gunk. [Edit 1 times, last edit by SekeRob* at Apr 2, 2016 2:39:36 PM] |

Text: "programmer of dictionaries, chief editor of refere" succeeds. (50 characters) Aha, I get the same. Well found! An undocumented feature Text: "programmer of dictionaries, chief editor of referen" fails. (51 chars) . You'll just have to keep to a short career ![]() |
