First 7 finishing [sync started and nothing broke]. 99% efficiency and all going for ~16:47 hours at 2.8Ghz/I7-4770K/W8.1-64, a stark variation to the 4:09 hours the other 18 are queued as. Suppose the next receipt, none new came since 15 hours, will up those estimates retroactively [it has done so in past for other projects]. Anyway, looks to be enough to get 14 days rounded up in the next 3-4 days to finish these off and join the club max again [Yes membership requires renewal at start of each new project/phase. ;o] My HST tasks haven't been longer than 13.5 CPU hours so far on my A8-6500 3.5 Ghz with Linux 64-bit. My cores, even at 3.5 Ghz, are for sure weaker than your i7. One wingman on Linux finished an HST task in just a little over 11 hours while I got 13.5. Wonder if Linux 64-bit is faster than Windows for this project as well. ![]() - AMD Ryzen 5 1600AF 6C/12T 3.2 GHz - 85W - AMD Ryzen 5 2500U 4C/8T 2.0 GHz - 28W - AMD Ryzen 7 7730U 8C/16T 3.0 GHz |

My first 2 HST WUs were 19 hours long on a Windows machine with i5 processor. I have a couple more that will be starting crunching later today. If there is any significant difference, I'll let you all know.

I am running two HST WUs. 1 will finish at around 12 CPU hours, currently at 45.8% and 5:24 CPU hours: HST1_000094_000012_AT0008_T350_F00012_S00001_1 The other one just started a few minutes ago. ![]() - AMD Ryzen 5 1600AF 6C/12T 3.2 GHz - 85W - AMD Ryzen 5 2500U 4C/8T 2.0 GHz - 28W - AMD Ryzen 7 7730U 8C/16T 3.0 GHz |

Wonder if Linux 64-bit is faster than Windows for this project as well. Answer: Running on the same hardware the average for Linux is 25.57 hours/task and for Windows 28.35 hours/task. A bit of influence could be that on Linux I've running 14 tasks simultaneously and on Windows 30 tasks. |

Wonder if Linux 64-bit is faster than Windows for this project as well. No difference for me. I have a dual-boot machine (i7) which is running Linux 64-bit and Windows 7 64-bit. Both are achieving about 9.6 hrs CPU time, give or take a few minutes.

Well, judging from your comments, it is probably around the same time.

Well, hopefully I've now got enough WU's in my buffer to achieve my Bronze badge in this project (time, and a lot of crunching will prove as to whether my calculations are right). So, I'm temporary leaving HST to go and finish off reaching my goals for UGM & OET (both of which, I'm wishing to reach Sapphire).

Just aborted about thirty units. The initial 6.5 hour run time estimate is isn't even close to the 20+ hours actual on my hardware, so there's a real question if I can get them done by the deadline. Someone else can have them.

The lack of tasks to crunch reminds me of the early days when Uncovering Genome Mysteries was first released. Hopefully as the days pass we will get a steady and reliable stream of TB tasks.
