Sek,
----------------------------------------Quite the opposite for WUProp. It measures work units as they are crunched and reports every 6 hours currently. Only a small percentage of WCG users are signed up but enough to get an idea of availability of units. Now only 22 so appears still no new units available. Paul.

hmmm, there's a job that completes every 6 hours collecting data the stats of the completed jobs in that 6 hour period, at least that is what I always understood, not 'in progress', but where is any that documented? Got a link what exactly collected and send? Their front page is rather inconclusive,
----------------------------------------WUProp@home is a non-intensive project that uses Internet-connected computers to collect workunits properties of BOINC projects such as computation time, memory requirements, checkpointing interval or report limit. You can participate by downloading and running a free program on your computer. and given there were 6000+ reported each and every day per https://secure.worldcommunitygrid.org/stat/vi...&numRecordsPerPage=14 have my doubts on the '22' as a value indicator. For instance have access to a large crunch account which has 160 HSTb in IP as at noon, 125 this very moment with 195 in PV jail. Qualitative the data of the project is interesting, but quantitative... TBC BTW, BOINC itself collects EOJ stats on completed jobs in e.g. job_log_www.worldcommunitygrid.org.txt Also, when active on my system, not since longer, the jobs seemed not to run seamless... job completed, reported, and only then a new one was assigned, which then begs the question where info is coming from for the gap period? Anyway, my interest in WUProp is sporadic and purely for technical info. [Edit 2 times, last edit by SekeRob* at Aug 30, 2016 2:23:41 PM] |

Sek,
----------------------------------------WUProp tasks capture data on tasks in progress on a PC so when a WUProp task ends it uploads data on work units running in the last 6 hours, whether they completed or not. From comparing WUProp values to WCG it appears only a small percentage of WCG users run WUProp. WUProp Active Projetcs is rolling 24 hours it appears, certainly Last Day on my stats matches that pattern. HST values are usually around 2,000 when workunits are flowing so 11 now shows few, if any, being sent recently. The WCG validations could be days old. Currently shows: World Community Grid Beta Test 8 FightAIDS@Home - Phase 2 2 255 Help Stop TB 11 Mapping Cancer Markers 17 993 OpenZika 33 891 Outsmart Ebola Together 14 557 Uncovering Genome Mysteries 6 809 Paul.

Well, something is certainly up with the supply of WUs on HST.
I usually have (had) about a dozen WUs in progress each day across some 3 dozen hosts, with half a dozen valid each day and another dozen and a half each day in PA jail. For the last three days now, this is down to less than a dozen WUs TOTAL showing in the results, with a single lonely WU still being crunched... Ralf |

The last WUs my machines received were sent on 27/08/16 15:35:38 and it's obvious from the way the project stats are tailing off that there's another hiatus in this project, however, we have not been informed. I've switched to Zika again.

Seems like the tap has been turned on a little...
----------------------------------------Received 16 WUs total within the last 75 minutes on two machines (8 each).

I just got 6 HSTB tasks in my hopper but for 5 of them, it says "download failed". The first time ever that I have seen this.
----------------------------------------The "good" one was 7.16. The "failing" ones were 7.14. Anyone have any ideas? Should I just abort these tasks? When this happened, my communications retry delay became 15 minutes instead of the normal 2 minutes. When the update happened, the 5 "bad" tasks were removed by the system, leaving only the 7.16 task. Final Edit: I just successfully downloaded 6 more 7.14 tasks so maybe there was a one time glitch that is now gone. Anyhow, all seems well at this point and the flow of tasks seems to have started again. [Edit 4 times, last edit by tmedve at Sep 1, 2016 3:08:08 PM] |

I just got 6 HSTB tasks in my hopper but for 5 of them, it says "download failed". The first time ever that I have seen this. I got one HST WU early this morning, which error-ed out with "download failed too, but that was a 7.16 version. The "good" one was 7.16. The "failing" ones were 7.14. Anyone have any ideas? Should I just abort these tasks? Got 6 more on remote hosts today, have not been able to check on any of those machines yet... Ralf |

Now that the latest beta has completed can we expect a more constant flow of work. My lone machine running HST1 exclusively has only received 3 tasks in the last 2 days

Looking forward to more WUs. I keep testing the waters at 3 & 33 minutes of the hour, but still get far more no workloads available or no workloads for your platform related messages. I think I got maybe at most a couple HST1 WUs in the past week. Still looking to help and staying patient. I figure one of these days the fire hose will get turned on our way and we'll be up to our necks on HST1 WUs to crunch away on .... Until then its the occasional nibble, nibble, nibble ....
