This is a 6 core processor with 12 threads. I thought it would run 12 work units at a time. I am only getting 6 cores to run in total. Am I thinking incorrectly, or maybe someone has an idea on how to run the full 12 threads?

Do Ctrl+Shft+E in BOINC Manager after a system restart and copy/paste the whole log for the connoisseurs to look over.

Check that you have hyperthreading enabled in your bios

IF you are going to restart, check the BIOS to verify that hyperthreading is turned on

I have a dual X5670 cruncher thats been working for a couple years since building it. Was video editing on it until I built a 4930K system. Now its just a cruncher and movie ripper. 48GB of ram in it.

That is why it took me a few years before I joined Boinc projects; I was doing video editing and needed the ram and CPU for myself. After I changed my line of work I was sad I wasn't using my equipment to its potential and later remembered hearing about Boinc and finally joined.

I still rip movies on my dually (still faster than my 4930) so pause crunching from time to time.
