58 years of crunching...
Apparently nobody got any new computers for Christmas. The last top 50 day here was December 24. no unfortunately, mine have been a bit behind last few days, some thunderstorms so turned of for while. also one hdd died yesterday so i replaced that. that was my linux amd dual core so is back on board now :) i thought it might be a good excuse to try the newer ubuntu 6.10 , hmm after a bit of fiddling still could not get boinc to run, prob some "sudo" thing .. so i put an old version on, suse 10 still a bunch of online updates , took about 5 mins to get boinc up so there ya go.. this puter i am on now has 2 w/u that seem to be 50hr plus faah jobs.. is only intel single core but the usual H/Thread thing does 2 w/units at a time.. cheers - points on the way . |
