Hello all,
The Say No to Schistosoma research team has provided a brief project update: 'Our initial in vitro tests of several compounds look promising. We are now working to get authorization for in vivo tests with the help of the Fiocruz group. We hope to get more results soon. Thanks again to World Community Grid and its members for your contribution in identifying the candidate compounds.' Thank you, ErikaT |

Yes, good luck with the authorisation - hopefully you'll get it very soon and be able to progress with testing.

The April 22,2015 update said: From the analysis, three compounds were identified as the most promising substances. For the next steps, we are continuing with in-vitro testing of these compounds to determine whether they might be viable options for treating schistosomiasis. Thusly great, they're progressing from 'within the glass' to 'within the living'[Edit 1 times, last edit by SekeRob* at Nov 20, 2015 6:06:43 PM] |
