Can someone explain why FAAH is listed as active and 100% for so long now.
Couldn't we at least make 101% based on a 1% of the original 100? Its fine if we do bonus crunching, or its fine if we adjust the percent to less than 100, but it seems we have been at 100 for a while in the active status category. Elucidate please. |

For the time being the project is at 100% as no WU are being crunched (link). There is a better link than this, but this also shows that while the project is officially 'completed' they might add more WUs later (link).

Can someone explain why FAAH is listed as active and 100% for so long now. Active projects are not considered Completed until all work units are returned. So while no new work is being sent out, we are still waiting for the final work units to be returned. After this happens, a project is marked Complete.Couldn't we at least make 101% based on a 1% of the original 100? ...but everyone with Spock-Logic prowess knows this one would go to intermittent

After this happens, a project is marked Complete. Sorry, but that doesn't make any sense...Thank you, ErikaT What WUs are you still waiting for? I don't think I have seen a FAH WU for at least a year, and your comment is now months old, and there is a "Phase 2" project out by now, and yet, the "original" FAH project is still not completed? As predicted 2.5 months ago, actually the last official words inferred so, the project went to intermittent, so 100% is right and the channel is kept open, should additional tests come along.

Why would this project go to intermittent, or even wait for additional tests, when FAAH-phase 2 is active? I think not making this FAAH complete tends to add to confusion about what is really being done in this area of researcch. Is there any work being done using the results provided for the first phase of FAAH?

Phase 2 is directly based off the work done in Phase 1. If they see something interesting in Phase 2 they might turn Phase 1 back on to try something new, and when that competes analyze it via the second phase.

Is there any work being done using the results provided for the first phase of FAAH? there might be some interesting compounds they haven't thought of for Phase1, which will then be tested in Phase2...so far they think they tested all they wanted to test...but you never know with scientist! they just like tests... |
