"Too late" in 3 days?

"Too late" in 3 days? Normally a period of 7 days is given.
What could have happened?

Re: "Too late" in 3 days?

wyxchari, I'm not sure as to what's happened here - perhaps it'll need looking to by a WCG technician, as normally, a repair (such as the _3 was), if it's returned before the original _0, then that's used as the verifying Work Unit.

I've noticed that there's also something else strange - as I can't see a _1 WU listed. Something else for the techs to look at...

There is nothing strange. Thw screenshot shows different wu and not the results for the too late wu.
Too late will happen when noone else returned a valid result so his result could not be validated.
The wu will be routed to scientists for investigation but Credit will be granted.

Re: "Too late" in 3 days?

The screenshot reveals the answer: Topmost resend was returned valid a couple of hours before you returned the wu.
With the first valid (last in list) the wu was validated successfully.
If the wu wouldn't have been running on your computer when the second valid return was sent the server would have sent a server abort to your computer.

Re: "Too late" in 3 days?

Anyone wanting to volunteer a full distrubution analysis? Start with _O which in what I see does not get sent until the 27th. Was that a resend aftet getting lost? _2 gets sent on the 22nd which gives a due on the 29th, 7 days, or? Why is _0 not geeting till the 29th at least? Have more questions on this distro, but will leave the cherries for others.

well spotted - I just skimmed down, thinking that they were all of the same WU, not thinking that the screenshot was of a higher level.

I'll just have to look more careful in future.
