I've had a very rare CEP2 error, one which I can't see a reason why (other than it reached the 18 hr limit). Can anyone explain it?

Is failing to finish Job #0 before it was killed the reason?

Yes, failing to complete job zero in 18 hours will result in an error. It is possible the molecule size is too big to be done on your system or the program diverges rather than converges to a result. If it is the latter, a faster machine may be able to complete it, but if it is the former, it will show several errors and then be taken out of the mix.

Okay, thanks for the replies. I thought that this may be the case - as to whether a faster machine will churn its way through it, time will tell.
----------------------------------------What I do know though, is that it was run on my fastest (newest) laptop, so my older/slower machine wouldn't have stood a chance. |

Worst case, I'm doing 18 hours of CPU time on a work-unit that will fail with an error. So that's 18 hours of CPU time I could be spending on other projects, AND I'm not getting credit for these errors. That's... annoying at best.
