I have several Android devices running Bionic. On the Device Statistics History page, they're all shown with the name "Android."
How/where can a I set a unique device name for each, so I can tell them apart? Thanks, -R |

ricks99,
----------------------------------------Welcome to the forums. Unfortunately the Boinc software truncates a device name here if it has an underscore in the name even though the full name appears in Results Status. Therefore all Android devices have the same device name on the Device Statistics History page. Maybe it will be corrected in future versions but for now we have to live with it.

That's the reason why my odroids run android 4.4 so that I can use nativeboinc.
----------------------------------------Gives me individual naming and remote control via boinctask. |

One option is to use the NativeBOINC app, which allows the device name to be changed.
Another option may be to edit the build.prop file. I was able to get this to work on my Odroid running Android 4.4.4 before I found the setting in NativeBOINC. To do this, I downloaded a prop editor app (like PropEditor), opened build.prop, added a field named net.hostname, and set the property to the desired device name. |
