Linux and OS X updated application version 7.15

We have updated the Linux and OS X versions of the Fight Aids at Home Phase 2 application to version 7.15. This update addresses performance issues for Linux and OS X. The current Windows version remains 7.14.

Thanks,
armstrdj

Does anyone have data using the new app version? Are we at near parity between Windows and Linux/Mac now?

Re: Linux and OS X updated application version 7.15

As was written in the beta test thread, now about an hour longer for my device, when booted into Ubuntu 14.04.03 LTS [99+% efficiency). The [official] language there was that [on average I presume] things were, well, read it yourself https://secure.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewpostinthread?post=505141

Re: Linux and OS X updated application version 7.15

I really welcomed the update to 7.15 as I exclusively run Mac computers (27" iMac, 17" MacBook Pro and a 15" Retina Macbook Pro. However I have noticed a great discrepancy in the points awarded for my WUs. Typically the 27" iMac generates ~570 points for an 18 Hour WU whereas the 15" and 17" MacBook Pros only generate ~330 points for the same run time. The 27" iMac and 15" MBP are quad core while the 17" MBP is only dual core. As run times are similar, why are the points awarded different?

Re: Linux and OS X updated application version 7.15

Well, my iMac is shrubbing them in 11 - 12.5 hours for ca. 400 points apiece. Much better than the older version for the same/similar points at 16 - 18 hours dancing

Cheers and NI!
