I have been running an XU3 Lite and XU4 for quite some time. Headless and on 4.4. They have screamed thru OET so fast that I have a 5 year badge already. I wish other projects ran Droid. AND GPU.

The Odroid XU4 also seems to be doing quite well with OET and FAAH, faster than I expected, pulling in around 10,000 WCG points per day (so far), with no errors.
While it produces far less than my Core i7 systems, the Odroid is only using 9 watts of electricity for the entire 8-core device under load! Not bad! |

Glad to hear that your xu4 is running fine now.
----------------------------------------Hopefully wcg provides projects with android in the future. These headless odroids are running very stable and reliable 24/7 with low power consumption. ![]() |

Hi Guys,
Did you have to install GAPPS to get BOINC? Thanks, Ed. |

I did download Native BOINC through GAPPS. I was able to easily install GAPPS on the Odroid from here: http://codewalkerster.blogspot.com/2013/11/un...-gapps-installer-for.html

Thanks, I managed to get gapps working fine. I went with normal BOINC not native BOINC as native was only running 1 job at a time.
Now though jobs keep getting to 100% and just keep running. Does native boinc solve this? Thanks, Ed |

I have not had any issues with Native BOINC. It is running on all cores, and while it does not seem to be reporting %complete with accuracy, all jobs seem to complete in an expected timeframe. Most of my OET tasks take from 2 to 9 hours.

Hmm. Will try reinstalling Native BOINC, thanks for the quick reply. :)
----------------------------------------|EDIT| No Luck, native BOINC is still only running one job, I went to; Manage client > Local preferences and it is set to use 100% of processors (even tried setting this to 800%) and 100% CPU time. So I don't know why it insists on only running the one at a time. [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Oct 4, 2015 9:15:30 PM] |

I seem to recall having to wait a bit before all cores started processing tasks, as though it had to verify that it was capable. You may let it run for a few hours and check back. (I'll look back through my notes and settings to see if anything stands out that may be of use.)

Ok. I shall leave it running the one task in the hope the other seven kick in at some point.
It has uploaded at least 1 result according to WCG though :D |
