Hey guys,
I have, as usual when I post on a forum, a very weird issue. I'm running BOINC with WCG on a few machines and as of yesterday, my Android device (Sony Z2, Android 5.0.2) won't finish WCG WUs. It's really weird. It goes to 100.0% and then just sits there. It doesn't mark them as finished, it doesn't upload them, it doesn't stop. They are still being worked on. Then, when I let it sit for a while and check again, it's suddenly a lower value, like 87.9%, or 80.0%. A few minutes later I check again, and we're back at 100.0%. The first WU this happened to I just deleted (btw, giving the delete dialog two buttons that BOTH say "abort", one apparently meaning abort WU, the other abort the abort is kinda dumb :p) and now the same thing seems to be happening to the next two WUs. They were at 97% and 100% this morning, when they should have already been done, uploaded and replaced by the next two. A few minutes later, they were both at 80%. Now they are at 91,6% and 100%. Oh, both of them are Outsmart Ebola WUs, but I am quite sure that the first one was Fight Aids @ Home. Thanks for any suggestions. I want this phone back to 4WU/day! :D |

Hi,
Weird is too this report did not land in the Android Support Forum ;) There's multiple cases reported there of inexplicable regression . Not found why it happens to one device and not the other [Is the OS bumping these out?]. E.g. NixChix suffers the same. |

Whoops, sorry, didn't see the android board. The forum layout is a bit confusing at times.
Anyway, no idea about the OS, it worked fine for several days, with no change to anything. I clicked on reset project after it, again, went to 80.7/100 with the two active unit. After a while it communicated with the server and I noticed that every time it does that, it just gives me more and more WUs. I'm at 11 now and I used to have four at the same time, at best. |
