Did not plot the data [that's what I do], noticed my Pending Validation/Verification hours to increase and increase and increase. For 16.65 days worth of results per earth revolution, have now the number of 573.45 hours in PV or 34.44 hours per fulltime core. Never have seen such a high fulltime-core number in times of normal validator operation [It takes for a quorum complete result about 12 seconds to show the ValidationState flip to 1 = Valid]. This PV value is with about a 1 day cache [the runtimes vary, so return times vary with that, but hardly ever topping 36 hours]. So with 34.44 hours/core and ~1 day buffer, it take my set of results near 50 hours to get through onto the MC page.
I'd imagine, the smaller the cache, the larger the validation 'latency', but have not really been keeping numbers on that. Added to that, MCM1 is pretty much grabbing 80% on multi-project profiled devices and then some UGM, which are wingman required projects. On the whole, probably 90% requires wingman [Devices being 'reliable', most often waiting on the _0 originals to come back]. Getting to the question: What's your hours per core PV value? NB: The old adage is that 'correlation is not causation', so my linking summer to the PV rise is circumstantial... no hard evidence. ![]() |

Getting to the question: What's your hours per core PV value My PV hours per core is currently 6.94 (brute force API method). However, I am exclusively crunching OET1 (a quorum=1 project) with a 0.02 cache. 1.01 of my PV hours per core are some UGM1 WUs waiting on wingmen. I have noticed no increase in either PV. The pending verification is close to non-existent, only seeing an occasional WU in there. The pending validation has been running about 6 to 8 pages consistently, no change in months. I had previously looked at _2 or greater and this composed about 5% of the total WU. For the last several weeks I have been crunching MCM1 exclusively, but had not noticed any change in PV when before when crunching OET and FAAH.
----------------------------------------The hours in PV/core is about 15.75 with an average cache of about 1.5 days per machine. There is about 70hours/machine in PV. Cheers

Something got un-choked in the MCM1 department [3/4 of the computing effort]. Since yesterday afternoon the PV is declining, from peaking at 39hrs/core to now 25.56 Per-Core PVal+PVer
Lots of _2 in there, several though server aborted as the No Repliers still took their chances [one other reason to keep a little cache to give the radar-boats a chance [no derision intended], and not 3 copies being computed, which is truly wasteful]. |

hmmm, would it have anything to do with a 'too many stuck behind expired SSL certificates'?... the dropping continues.

Courtesy of this unseen runtime size before Beta, now have 44.5 hours per fulltime core in PV jail. 2 more are hours front of completion adding 60 more hours, so it is likely to peak near at 50/core... Two full crunch days sweating it out.

56.89 hrs Per-Core PVal+PVer, 32 of those accounted for by Beta. Maybe not as bad, but will see when uplinger powers up the validator for these.

Yeah, hurray [not really], TGIF and success struck... 1000 hours in PV jail, or 62 hours per fulltime core:
1001.65 hrs 80 = OK 62.21 Per-Core PVal+PVer A very long hot summer [and no abating predicted for the next 14 days]. |
