Hello, good evening.
I found out, that at the bottom of the forum, today, June 16th 2015, the following number of World Community Grid Members is displayed: Total Members: 193865 In the global statistics, a different numbers of members is displayed: 698707 The differcence between the two numbers is 504842, rougly 500 000. Can anybody please explain this phenomen? I also would be interested in a simple chart showing how the number of WCG members has developped and changed during, lets say, the year 2014 and 2015. If such a chart does not exist, i might create it of my own, simply copying member numbers in a dashbord everyday. Thank you for your answer. The number of WCG members is simply important to me. Do we know, how many of the members have been inactive during 2015? All the best MS |

That total members could be just forum users who posted at least once (?) but I really don't know.
----------------------------------------Active members, WCG has around 60,500 members according to BOINCstats. I updated the wikipedia page 2 days ago: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_Community_Grid Among other things, the numbers have been updated according to BOINCstats. thank you for the answer. I will wait patiently to get a answer to the rest of my question. The big big Internet and only 60,500 active members... Well, I spread the word today...... Someday, in my view, it should be normal that everyone has WCG and there should be the common reaction patter like this: "OH, you do NOT have it. Why?" Just my.......dream. Because WCG uses separate forum software, I'll bet that number is the people who have actually visited the forum, or those who created an account after they started using this software.
