My professor from my college want us to do assignment that we can discuss technology-related subject. So I pick Distributed Computing. I am almost done with the assignment. There is a few thing that I need more information. I am attempting to look for milestone or achievement of what distributed computing help the world? I remember there is one achievement that they finally found the trigger of AIDS or something like that. Google is no help. So I imagine this forum is the best place to look into. Anyone have idea what Achievement or Milestone that Distributed Computing did?

----------------------------------------If you go to the Research page, then click through to each of the active/completed science pages under the 'learn more' links, there's a time bar at top with all the major events. Click on those and you can read what each event announced/informed us on. An example is the Learn More for the FightAIDS@Home science. Somewhere there's also a WCGWikia page with a summary of all the papers published, unfortunaly not updated since longer.
