Hello everyone,

We have started this firmware upgrade. As you may have noticed a 10 minute outage to the website. We expect to only have another short outage like this when we move primary database back over.

We really can't turn our backs, can't we ;?... Just back from 60 miles cycling and here we find:

10769 World Community Grid 5/5/2015 4:45:27 PM [error] Error reported by file upload server: Maintenance underway: file uploads are temporarily disabled.

These messages appear with 11 minute intervals and uploads building ;P

Maybe WCG would do good to make it a policy of not doing any prediction whatsoever on durations of maintenance... so far 1.5 hours of upload outage, hands off from the update button:

Total across clients there's now 40+ results to upload, though oddly, when aborting an unwanted OET [Gotten through 'If there is no work...'], they report fine... it's not like the path to WCG is blackholed on the internet.

If the firmware update is done then the validator is not running. Got 66 pages of pending validation. Even wu with quorum 1 are affected.

The validators are still off right now. We are still working on the firmware updates. They are taking a bit longer than we expected, but the outage to the members on the website and BOINC have been minimal up to now. If this update goes into the end of day stats, I will suspend them until the firmware updates are complete.

Everything on the backend has been restarted. We still have additional server to do firmware updates for, but will need to schedule those for another day as we are past the scheduled time for maintenance. Please let us know if you have any issues.
