This may well be a long shot, but perhaps an updated wireless/ethernet drivermay do the trick.

A long while ago I read a thread where the crunchers upload speed was severely compromised. I don't remember why but I do remember that because the connection was so slow everything was competing for the same limited bandwidth and nothing was able to upload without timing out. His (or her) solution was to backup the data, manually delete the files for all but one of the WUs, allow it to upload (slowly) and then move on to the next one. I think the project was Climate Prediction.net so I'm not sure how this solution will work for WCG WUs. Good luck.

Expand the item which says Network adapters. Left click on the the wireless adapter or the ethernet adapter(may say controller). This will bring up another window with several tabs at the top. Click on the tab marked "Driver." One of the buttons there should say "Update driver." Click this button. Hope this helps. Cheers

Try setting a limit on your network bandwidth usage in Device Profile and after an update unset it again? This way if a configuration bit is flipped in your configuration on the servers or the machine it should unset it.
----------------------------------------When boinc first starts it lists limits that are imposed, so check that log to see if your changes are being spotted and implemented. ![]() |

Local and web prefs can give conflicting feedback **, so it's a first step to hit the clear button in local prefs to ensure a single set is in effect, and same for all nodes linked to a particular device profile.
In some instances it was found the ISP was doing funny stuff to the WCG data uploads [traffic shaping for instance or treating it as suspect]. As from replies, the issue is not limited to CEP2 but also effects MCM i.e. implies to affect all of the WCG project results, and those files go to somewhere near Toronto, where the CEP2 _4 part goes to Harvard directly [by exception]. Of course, who knows something else is stealing the bandwidth. We have no way of knowing, but to observe that no one else has been reporting the issue as persistent since this thread started. ** 7.6 client promises to redo the whole client prefs interface and tell which are in effect and from where, local or from website. |

I reset devise profiles for now both up and down loads are set at 250KB max I also repaired the BOINC program and had 3 registry files change ran mail-ware and like programs. Nothing there.
----------------------------------------I uploaded a large video file to face book 530MB it went over 2/3 that at a rate of 250-375KB .......all I can do now is wait for a WU to up load and see if I did any good my net activity is suspended until then.... I'll edit this post to reflect that fingers are crossed NO CHANGES STILL AT 1/2 KB UP LOAD...... Someone give me some help with this.
