I'm having a really big problem with up loading results with CEP2 and don't know if other projects are running that way also. Some are coming up on dead line but the large 10+MB files are just sitting here trickling in a few KB then kicking over to a 5 hour upload delay.
----------------------------------------Whats going on?? What are our options?? Sitting here forcing RETRY NOW in the transfer window isn't getting it..... I have 5 done work units 2 were done I'll guess 24 hours ago with 2 near done that will just add to the pile. It isn't a network problem or anything on my end. One WU shows a Elapse Time of 3 hr 45 min and 33% of 11BM uploaded. A speed test of my connection shows over 5MB/sec.... [Edit 5 times, last edit by TKH at Mar 30, 2015 1:40:34 PM] |

There's nothing problematic logged on any of my devices doing CEP2. A random log pick shows the big part _4 which goes directly to the big pipe at Harvard was done in under 3 minutes, which is about normal from here with a BOINC upload restriction of 250Kb.

I've seen this problem also. My recollection is that it eventually sorts itself out without the necessity for manual intervention.

I wish intervention were not required, if I don't baby sit this they will be late by days at this rate. I have 9 trying to up load one has been here since Friday at 4PM it's now 38 hours later. I have 130MB trying to up load. Restarted the putter changed wireless connections still getting 15 down 5 up and 0.0005MB data transfer of 1/2 KB of those files for some reason
----------------------------------------.... That's just wrong....has to be a bottle neck somewhere [Edit 3 times, last edit by Former Member at Mar 23, 2015 12:55:31 AM] |

If you have a router, try resetting that. Unplug it, let it set for at least 10 seconds and then plug it back in. If you have any other items such as switches, modems, etc., reset them also. Hope this helps.

I tried everything even taking the lap to to Canon City Colorado about 15 miles away.....same story.
It must be the way local net traffic is getting back to where the files go I have no other way to enplane it I can down load files in 1000-300KB range they are just not uploading. I'm los here maybe some one will notice the net traffic and fix this. |

Hi there,
Sorry to hear that you are having problems uploading. As far as I can tell, this is not a problem our end. I will however ask around, just in case. I hope that it improves for you soon, Your Harvard CEP Team |

It has to be something, I was thinking Monday someone would see a direction flow problem somewhere on the net and fix it, but that doesn't seem to be the case. I ran a MCM work unit just to see if it was a CEP2 problem but its not. All WU's are having problems on this little lap top.
----------------------------------------Before I start dumping work units, reloading BOINC and windows up dates and everything else I'd really like to have a very clear direction as to how to manage all that in a direction that will fix this problem. So whatever best help you can provide would be most welcome. I'm now really starting to think my little lap top is having problems, some sort of toxic reaction to ....... I have 3 CEP2' waiting to up load 7 MCM's and then 4 more CEP2's to run after those. I will not be receiving any new WU's until I do all the upgrades to the software. After the work units pass I'd even be willing to mail the thing to get this fixed. Unless someone has a better plan that's all I have. Here are upload stat on my 3 CEP2_14_0_4 files with size uploaded percentages and times A) 12.81/14.05 91.31% 5h 49min xxsec rate .... 0.59KB B) 7.92/213.98 56.66 3hr 59min 16ec retry in 4+hr C) 8.37/15.32 54.66 4hr 0min 7sec retry in 4+hr Bottom of my event log 3/23/2015 1:12:37 PM | | Internet access OK - project servers may be temporarily down. Restarted the putter changed wireless connections still getting 15 down 5 up and 0.0005MB data transfer of 1/2 KB of those files for some reason .... I think the next thing to do is try a wired connection. |
